Why Creams Are Not Effective in Treating Hemorrhoids

Applying creams can help relieve the pain caused by hemorrhoids but they only provide temporary relief. It's the easiest way to treat hemorrhoids but most commercial creams only treat the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Yes it definitely helps ease the pain of burning and itching of inflamed areas, but it doesn't heal the hemorrhoids.

You should be careful to trust enough some medical creams that promise to cure your hemorrhoids that fast or to get rid of anal inflammations. Because they are cheap and easy to buy, mostly people tend to self medicate. There is nothing wrong applying creams to inflamed areas, but you should understand that they are only intended for temporary relief. The best hemorrhoid treatment is to prevent its causes and that hemorrhoids will totally heal.

When you decide to apply creams on your hemorrhoids, it is recommended to apply the mild ones first, because you may not know you're allergic to the strong ingredients that contain in a cream. Also it can add more damaged to the inflamed area when your skin reacts to the strong ingredients.
